Definition:
Living with intersectionality refers to the real-life experiences of individuals who embody multiple, overlapping identities such as race, gender, disability, class, or sexual orientation—that intersect to create unique forms of discrimination or disadvantage. Someone living with intersectionality doesn’t just face separate challenges related to each identity they experience, compounded, interwoven forms of bias that shape how they are perceived, treated, and included in society.
