We hope everyone is doing well in these interesting times this long Memorial Day weekend.  As we continue to prepare Season 2 of The Audacity Of This Pitch, DiversifyIT is building a roster of amazing musical talent bringing some incredible performances.  Recently Bryan Center Studios was graced with the presence of Lois Deloatch Gomes, an amazing jazz singer with three decades in the arts of experience and a prominent Duke alumnus who has shared stages with Branford Marsalis, Ed Thigpen, Arturo Sandoval and Willie Pickens.  With her accompanying guitarist Keith Ganz. Lois performed three original songs in an intimate and dramatically lit mini concert.  While co-chair J. Brandon Johnson captured the performances on three cameras, studio supervisor Stephen Toback monitored the mix of the two artists into Apple GarageBand on the studio iMac.  DiversifyIT intern Peter Tojza is doing an awesome job with the editing.  A sneak peek of Lois’s session has been completed and she has decided to release her beautiful performance of “Nothing Stands Alone” to remind us of the importance of implementing unity, understanding and perseverance to stand against any odds stacked against us.  Enjoy this gift.
