“This is the problem with Beyonce fans, we’re not even talking about Beyonce and they bring up Beyonce…”
This past summer Simone Walker and Peter Tojza were initiated into DiversifyIT’s internship program to support communications initiatives and assist with developing and supporting communications strategies with other affinity groups at Duke. Simone was so inspired by the knowledge she gained that when she returned to her home state of Albany, NY she used her internship acquired knowledge to build her own podcast studio in her dorm room! Mo’ Mic’d Up is a podcast exploring contemporary issues in sports, pop culture, online dating and more through the lens of a Gen-Z communications major and her peers who are guests on the show. The banter between her and her friend Graci Serravillo on the inaugural episode is insightful and hilarious. Give our internship alumni a follow and share your feedback!
