You may have heard that Duke HR has recently launched an initiative to support the creation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This is in addition to the Affinity Groups on the Duke Health side. DiversifyIT is not currently an official ERG – we are hosted and sponsored within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). We have the option of becoming an ERG and aligning with the ERG charter, and there are some pros and cons to that decision. Our DiversifyIT Committee has been having conversations about that decision over the last several months, and we recently voted to stay as we are for the time being: an OIT-sponsored group, rather than an ERG. We’re hosting an open dialogue to share what we know and give you space to ask questions and share feedback. We hope you’ll join — and if you can’t join but want to share your thoughts on this topic, please send them along via this survey.

DiversifyIT Brown Bag Lunches are a chance for members of the community to have casual conversations and be in community with colleagues.
