As we wind down an extra busy semester full of growth and challenge, let’s pause for a moment, knowing we did not get this far on our own. Someone helped you reach a deeper understanding, someone helped you get a different perspective, someone helped you get unstuck from old ways of thinking, someone helped you get better.
Why not take a moment to publicly recognize that person? By name. Tell them how they helped you. Be as specific as you can. Make someone’s day. Let’s spread good energy this week.
How To Participate in the “Hey! You helped me…” Campaign
Complete the phrase: “Hey [Insert Name], You helped me {do what? think what? learn what?}. Thank you.”
- Post the completed phrase to the DiversifyIT Microsoft Teams channel,
- Email the completed phrase to diversifyIT@duke.edu for sharing,
- Or, reach out privately to the person who helped you.
Spread the appreciation. Celebrate our community.
