We Are: DiversifyIT at Duke

Duke Values

Duke aspires to create a community built on collaboration, innovation, creativity, and belonging. Our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas—an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes. To achieve this exchange, it is essential that all members of the community feel secure and welcome, that the contributions of all individuals are respected, and that all voices are heard. All members of our community have a responsibility to uphold these values.

Who We Are

DiversifyIT is a staff-led community working towards awareness and support for all identities in IT at Duke. Since inception, we’ve been working to ensure that staff in IT feel seen, heard and acknowledged so that we can best support all others at Duke.

Our Mission

To encourage the Duke IT community to join the conversation about the value of differences in the workplace while advancing inclusion and diversity in our community by providing professional development, networking, and outreach opportunities.
