Brown Bag Seminar

Duke aspires to create a community built on collaboration, innovation, creativity, and belonging. Our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas—an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes. To achieve this exchange, it is essential that all members of the community feel secure and welcome, that the contributions of all individuals are respected, and that all voices are heard. All members of our community have a responsibility to uphold these values.

Our Mission

To encourage the Duke IT community to join the conversation about the value of differences in the workplace while advancing inclusion and diversity in our community by providing professional development, networking, and outreach opportunities.

Who We Are

Diversify IT is a voluntary group of Duke professionals working in the information technology (IT) field who seek to address issues of diversity in the IT workforce.  Beginning as the “Women in Tech” group focusing on gender and technology, the group expanded its scope in 2015 after a panel discussion at Duke’s Tech Expo addressing all issues of diversity in IT.
